Amie Ki Jawani
Amie was just 15 days old when I brought her home from a vet clinic without telling my parents. For years we have been asking our parents for a puppy but they were always saying no. One day my brother and I took money out of mom’s drawer and headed to pet clinic. We asked for a yellow lab because of our love for the color but doctor told it will be available after 3-4 days. What little patience we had was waning fast and we were uncertain about coming back again. Suddenly I felt something grabbing my toes and feet and saw that tiny little Amie was licking my shoe. “Aww, too adorable, I want to eat you up”, I said and took her in my hands. She was a black lab…why Racism? We forgot about the color and that’s how we got her.
